The shortcomings in the teaching profession

The problem with the teaching profession.
India is the youngest and the second most populated country in the world. With that being said, it is quite obvious that, at the present time, it boasts the largest number of students in the world. The British Council of Research forecasts that China will remain the top provider of international students. Now the question arises: Where do we lack? Are our students not getting proper guidance? Are they not motivated? Do our teachers lack in motivating them?
The reason behind this is the deeply rooted mindset of the Indian society that when nothing else works for you, then only you go for teaching as a profession. Teaching is considered to be one of the most prestigious and noble professions all over the world. In spite of this, it isn't the most desired profession. The present students have a tendency to keep away from it, the fact that it doesn't offer an attractive pay being one of the many reasons.
Potential solution to improve teaching qualities.
Teaching is becoming more and more difficult because it is not merely to help the students to get through the examinations, but also to help them face challenges in their everyday lives. Teachers have a great responsibility of moulding and nurturing the young minds. They lay a strong foundation for a stable, intellectual society. They can be very influential in changing the ethos of the students and reform society.
The ground of my opinion that youngsters should take up this line of work is that their passion, sense of service and dedication can ignite young minds. They can take it up as a challenge to find a better approach and can address the problems faced by students in a better way. If you really have a desire to share your knowledge, talents and passion to others, then this occupation is best suited to you.
