About the counsellor

I did my MSW from TISS, Mumbai in 1998 followed by a diploma in HRD from Pune in 2000. I taught management to MBA students in institutes in Patna till 2005. I wrote a book titled The Avatar Way of Leadership which was published by Rupa Publications Delhi in 2006. I also wrote a chapter on Leadership and Dharma for a book on Fictional Leaders edited by Professor Jonathan Gosling of Exeter University UK which was published by Palgrave Macmillan London in 2012. I was deemed Visiting Leadership Scholar at the James Macgregor Burns Academy of Leadership, University of Maryland in 2004. I also wrote columns on management and leadership for newspapers and media such as the Hindustan Times from 2000 to 2002 and in Advance Edge management magazine from 2007 - 2008. From 2005 to 2023 I worked in the NGO sector as a development professional in the fields of health and education with the last 10 years as a consultant in UNICEF projects advising the state governments of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand on education policy making and implementation. I plan to set up my own professional practice in English Coaching and Career Counseling.
